Hello, and welcome to my new journal. I am a CG Artist working with different 3D applications, and have been wanting to add stock content creation to my sources of income. I’ve been lurking on iStockphoto for quite some time, adding a few images now and then to get a feel for the concept of micro stock and the site itself, and see how it works.
Things have been going pretty well considering that I haven’t been very active so far, the images I have uploaded until now have sold pretty well.
So in the last two months I’ve started making some effort to add new images and videos more regularly to explore if one can actually make a decent living out of micro stock creation.
This journal will focus on CG created footage for stock creation and I’ll post around that subject. So expect to see posts about my thoughts of being a CG artist in a mainly photo centric world, tips and techniques, the new images and videos I add to my stock portfolio, statistics of how the portfolio progress and other things concerning this subject.
So other than this being a journal of my latest stock artwork I hope that some of my posts will contain information that others in a similar position as me will find useful.
